An ultimate focuser for Newtonian telescopes with higher payload and accuracy than any conventional Crayford focuser we know. We recommend the focuser especially to amateur astronomers who use their Newtonian telescope for observation and astrophotography and who value highest stiffness and accuracy.

The advantages of the TS-Optics 2″ low profile rack and pinion focuser for Newtonians:

♦ highest stiffness - the draw tube is held by 8 ball bearings and the adjustment of the draw tube is done by gear drive
♦ the focuser holds up to 8 kg while fully maintaining the stiffness
♦ gentle 2″ clamping via bronze compression ring
♦ precise 1,25″ clamping according to the collet principle
♦ integrated coarse adjustment with 42 mm extension length - ideal for visual observation when the focus position is optimized for photography. No extension sleeve is needed.
♦ rack and pinion drive with additional reduction 11:1 - drawtube travel approx. 23 mm
♦ short construction - from the wall of the Newtonian to the 2″ receptacle it is only 50 mm height (8" newton tube) or 55mm (10" newton tube or bigger)
